Attention Junior Summer Competition Team Managers,

As part of our ongoing commitment to making our Junior Summer Competition better each year, we will be introducing reversible playing singlets for all teams. The major benefit of this initiative is greatly reducing the need to replace playing apparel each year.

We would like to sort the playing singlets over the school holidays so require each Team Manager to complete this Sizing Form by Sunday 25th September.

NOTE: U7 and U9 teams receive 10 shirts; U11 – U17 teams receive 12 shirts per team.

If you are the manager of a team in our Junior Summer Competition and did not receive the information above via email we do not have your email in our database as the contact for your Junior Summer team. Please email [email protected] to advise if this is the case so we can ensure you are added to the communications sent out for this competition.

Manly Touch is seeking Expressions of Interest from players and coaches wishing to play for and coach our Manly Touch teams to compete at the 2022 NSWTA State Cup in Port Macquarie from 2nd – 4th December 2022.

More information for teams will be provided in the coming weeks in regards to trials. 

NOTE: Trials will be held for senior teams where there is the possibility of more than one team in the same age group. If Manly Touch cannot secure enough referees to cover all teams wanting to attend Senior State Cup, the addition of second teams in senior age groups will not be considered.

The 2023 NSWTA Junior State Cup Northern Conference will take place from February 24th – 26th 2023 in Lady Cutler Sporting Precinct in Dubbo followed by the NSWTA State Finals (details TBC). Manly Touch is seeking expressions of interest for players wishing to trial for this event in U10-U18 boys and girls age groups. Please note that NSWTA has confirmed that U8 and Development teams will not play in the Northern Conference and State Finals in 2023.

Manly Touch is planning a JSC campaign including Gala Days that will again be governed by the various authorities including but not limited to, the Government Dept of Health, Office for Sport, and NSW Touch.

Manly Touch is now calling for qualified coaches to submit an Expression of Interest to coach and/or manage Manly Touch JSC teams to play in Gala Days and the NSW Touch Junior State Cup events held late 2022 through to February/March 2023 (exact details for the applicable Gala Days and NSW Touch Northern Conference and State Finals events TBC).

Subject to player numbers, our successful coaching and management officials will lead and support our U10 – U18 girls and boys teams in readiness for the NSWTA JSC Northern Conference in February 2023 and NSWTA JSC State Finals (venues and dates TBA). Also subject to player numbers and coaching officials, Manly Touch will also form Development Teams with a view to arranging participation in Gala Days with other touch affiliates for those teams.

COMPETITION DATES

U7s – U9s commence Thursday 8 September 2022

U7s and U9s will play Thursday afternoons and U11s – U17s will play Friday afternoon/evenings. All competitions will run for 9 rounds plus finals with two weeks off for school holidays.

All age groups will have A, B and C competitions on offer excluding U9s and U17s which will have A and B only and for U7s there is no grading. All of these divisions are subject to team numbers.

The wait is finally over! Our 2022 Senior Winter Competition will commence Monday 4th July for our Men’s, Women’s and Mixed grades. The competition will run for 7 weeks, with 6 round games and a Finals round that all teams will play.

UPDATE SUNDAY 3RD JULY 2022: We were so pleased to announce a start date for our winter comp but sadly the weather has not been kind to us over the weekend therefore the fields are under water and unplayable. The competition kick-off date will now be delayed with a further update expected during the week. We will be in the hands of the council again and the decision of when to open the fields will be based on how much rain we actually receive.

Vawdon Cup is a representative competition held weekly throughout Sydney from August to October.

Manly Touch is pleased to announce Motus Health & Performance as their high-performance and rehabilitation managers who will assist with the physical preparation, onsite event physiotherapy needs and athlete recovery for our elite level players over the next two years.
