manlytouchKeymasterWell what a weekend of incredible results for our club!
We would like to thank all of our coaches and managers for their dedication over the last 8 months. It certainly hasn’t been easy and it’s a credit to you all on the way you have conducted yourselves and offered your time.
Congratulations to all players on your wonderful results, definitely plenty of highs and lows throughout the past few months, you should all be very proud of yourselves. To have 3 development teams make the state finals is also very special, huge congratulations to those teams.
Thank you to our families #ManlyFamily for your support in getting your child to and from training sessions and gala days etc. These results don’t just happen, it takes the highest level of commitment!
Thank you also to all the referees for your hard work and support. These events could not happen without you.

U18 Girls – State CHAMPIONSmanlytouchKeymasterWhat a fantastic weekend at the Junior State Cup Northern Conference. Manly Touch were awarded the 2019 NORTHERN CONFERENCE CLUB CHAMPIONS, this is an unprecedented 8th consecutive Club Championship.
In its new format, the first of two Conferences, the Northern Conference saw 234 teams entered with over 850 games played out over the 3-day event in Port Macquarie to qualify for the State Finals.
Manly Touch fielded the 20 sides from U8s through to U18s with boys and girls teams in every age group, plus we fielded Development sides in all divisions from U10s to U16s.
We had some incredible results across all age groups. An unbelievable 19 of 20 sides made the Round of 16.
With 11 out of 12 teams going on to the Grand Finals – the only age to miss out were the 8 Boys who lost their semi-final 4-5 (2 tries each but the other side scored first).
Manly Touch won 8 of the 12 Divisions:
8 Girls (5-0)
10 Boys (9-8)
12 Girls (7-2)
14 Boys (11-2)
14 Girls (8-7)
16 Boys (7-2)
16 Girls (11-0)
18 Girls (17-2)A special note of Congratulations to the U18s girls. This group of girls have won their respective age division 8 years in a row stretching back to 2011 when they started in U10s and have remained undefeated in nine years (in 2015 there was no result due to the finals being washed out).
In other Grand Final results, unfortunately we lost the U10 Girls 4-5 (2 tries each but the other side scored first), U12 boys (7-10) and U18 Boys 9-8 (4 tries each but other side scored first).
Apart from the above 12 teams the following three teams U10 Girls Dev, U14 Girls Dev and U16 Boys Dev have also qualified for the State Finals.
Manly Touch would like to pass on their congratulations to everyone involved, all the players, coaches, managers, committee members, parents and supporters on such a great tournament. This was such a huge achievement and one to be very proud of.
Also, a big shout out to our incredible referees. They did a tremendous job refereeing up to 6 games a day in very hot conditions. Without you these tournaments would not be possible.
And finally, thank you to NSWTA for putting on a great tournament. We wish you well as you head to Wagga Wagga to do it all again for the Southern Conference.
For our Manly Touch family, a few weeks rest and then back into training for the NSWTA State Finals to be held in Wollongong 27-28 April 2019.
